2023 Student leaders learning about media at the Sunrise studios, on their leadership camp

Whether leading a class discussion, MCing at the ANZAC Day Dawn Service, helping out with the music program or volunteering at the local preschool, students are encouraged to discover and develop their capacity to lead.
Cobram Secondary College endeavours to foster and develop leadership opportunities for all of our students. Leadership programs at Cobram Secondary College are designed to develop students’ confidence and sense of responsibility, their organisational skills and commitment to goals, so that all students may experience elements of leadership. Our students are given opportunities to share leadership roles as co-captains – and so learn together.
The Middle School Years encourages participation in leadership roles such as house captaincies and peer support involving younger students.
The Senior School Years endeavours to further develop the leadership skills of our students’. We offer them a chance to take on key responsibilities within the school such as School Captains which form part of the Cobram Secondary College School Council, giving an increased student voice for issues affecting school life. Further opportunities exist as Captains and Vice-Captains in the House system.
