2022 Student Leader Induction ceremony

Whether leading a class discussion, a trek through the Cathedral Ranges, or a student group through a city in Italy, students are encouraged to discover and develop their capacity to lead.
Cobram Secondary College endeavours to foster and develop leadership opportunities for all of our students. Leadership programs at Cobram Secondary College are designed to develop students’ confidence and sense of responsibility, their organisational skills and commitment to goals, so that all students may experience elements of leadership. Our students are given opportunities to share leadership roles as co-captains – and so learn together.
The school also provides specific leadership programs such as Advance for Year 10 students, Moira Shire Youth Council (MSYC) for Years 9 & 12 students and the Cobram Secondary College – Student Representative Council (CSC - SRC) for Years 7-12 students.
The Middle School Years encourages participation in leadership roles such as house captaincies, CSC - SRC representatives, MSYC representatives and peer support involving younger students. Once in Year 10 students can extend their leadership skills through the Advance Program and in a variety of leadership roles through the International Programs offered.
The Senior School Years endeavours to further develop the leadership skills of our students’. We offer them a chance to take on key responsibilities within the school such as School Captains which form part of the Cobram Secondary College School Council, giving an increased student voice for issues affecting school life. Further opportunities exist as Captains and Vice-Captains in the House system.
